Tomb 21

It is about three metres in diameter and connects to the outside through a corridor more than four metres long, oriented towards the ancient settlement. Inside, two benches were arranged in an L shape. They were made of earth and adobe, covered with white plaster and decorated with red bands. The urns containing the remains of the deceased and the objects accompanying them would have been placed on them.
Although the tomb was looted, the excavation recovered fragments of vessels, two necklace beads—one made of bone and the other of glass paste—and several iron objects. A small ceramic bull’s head painted red was also found in the corridor. Notice the combination of architecture and colour. What you see today as an open structure was a space prepared to receive burials and preserve the memory of the deceased.
